We Get Too Much Homework...FOR!
Well... It's not that I'm against learning at home, I agree we should all have homework but not as much as we have now. We spend around 6 hours at school a day and when we get home we want to relax, do nothing, chores whatever we need to do and then get on to a small spread out amount of homework and revision work, not piles and piles of work from each teacher that we need to spend our free time doing. We went from tiny bits of homework in year 6 to piles and piles of work in Yr.7 instead of gradually giving us more assignments. They say theire getting us ready for high school but I'm ready for a mental breakdown!

My First Day Of School...
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnggggg Riiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnggggg!!!
As the bell went I carried on walking to school, it was kinda nice to be back. I could see teachers and students alike flocking to classes. I sat down and as I walked in I heard a voice, "Holly where is that work you promised me and also help with these books." As soon as I heard the high-pitched voice I knew who it was."Yes Sensei." I said in a bored voice. I could tell that if the day was going to carry on like this it was not going to be fun. I finished helping Sensei(our Japanese teacher) and sat next to my best friend. " Hey how was your holiday?"she said. Just before I could even open my mouth I heard "Holly stop talking!" and some other stuff from our Japanese teacher that I chose not to hear. Well at least Japanese was over and it was time for recess.I sat down with my friends and started talking."I heard that we get to do swimming and cross country training this term. Is'nt that great"said one of my friends. Now it's not that I don't love sport or anything I just can't do it anymore because of my Ozgoudslatus which is a fancy word for reaaallllllllllllllllllly bad growing pains so I get to sit on the sidelines and watch all my friends playing sport ...fun(not). Riiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnngggg Riiiiiiiiiinnnnngggg... and I went off to class. The day wasn't going that well sofar and I still had four more classes to attend, four more lots of work and four more teachers to get me into trouble for nothing.

But I guess you could say that the day could've been alot worse.

Violent Console Games...
Everywhere you look today big companies are making games for Plastation X-Box and many more, but are these games making us more violent. Do these kind of game stoke our violent instincts? There have been many times where in teen shootings they have been triggered by violent video and compputer games. I was on the internet and stumbled across this article. Quite a while back a boy in his early teens had a game console and his mum just used to buy him the games hewanted or just the games other kids had, a couple years later after playing these games he murdered three people then was captured when they captured him he was wearing what he calls a 'death suite' the boys mother saw him in court and gave him a hug but say that he didn't feel the same and she knew straight away the moment she touched him that he had changed. Is this the video game makers fault or was he always going to turn out that way? Some people debate that violent games shouldn't be banned because the personm who did that should get therapy for whatever he did instead of punishing everyone that is a good point but what if people are triggered by this but they don't even notice? I think the solution is maybe to make violent games a higher price or ro rate them higher.

Harry Potter Worm Infects PCs

As eager fans wait in anticipation for the new Harry Potter book to arrive in stores some will do almost anything to get it. A NASTY new virus has taken advantage of the worldwide Harry Potter mania to infect computers around the world. This virus/spam is disguised as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which releases worldwide on July 21. Once the virus is in the users system it copies itself onto any attached USB drive so it can spread to any other computer that it's connected to. If you think it's bad enough already than wait till you hear about this Windows user will also receive this message"Read and repent, the end is near, repent from your evil ways O Ye folks lest you burn in hell . . . JK Rowling especially". but wait there's more, this spam also leads you to a spoof Amazon.com selling a fake book called 'Harry Putter and the Chamber of Cheesecake.' If you have any opinions on my blog don't forget to comment.

The Great Debate About Bali Drug Smugglers.
Instead of boring all of you with all of the facts and information I'm just going to explaining the basics. Three people were trying to smuggle drugs into Australia(they're all quite young) and they got caught now people are debating whether to sentence them to death or something. My opinion on this is to send these people to Australia and to punish them in some way but not by life because they are too young to die, they still have their while lives ahead of them and well that's my opinion. I do realise that smuggling drugs is a HUUUGGGE offense but I think they should have community service and they should go to a rehabilitation centre. Please feel free to post.

Unfair Treatment...
So , did you hear about Paris Hilton? Well, if you didn't the story was she was caught drunk driving and was sentenced to 26 days in jail but after only serving 2/26 days she was sentenced to house jail or whatever you call it. This has been annoying me so much lately because I think if it had been a normal person then she would still be in jail but just because she's a celebrity she gets special treatment but luckily she still had to serve all of her sentence but know is publishing a book and getting lots of attention. Another example of unfair treatment would be Steve Irwin death, now before you get angry I'd like to say I look up to Steve Irwin he was a great person but he died late 2006 and they are still going on about it and he didn't die saving whales or helping someone like someone in the news last week. Last week a 43 year old man with three young children died in a shooting whilst trying to help a women in need... over one week no memorial- no more articals and barely any recognition. It's sad to think that his children are going to remember and miss him fro the rest of their lives but we only give him a tiny article for one measly week.
Bye for now,
Holly
